Specialist competencies:

  • Previous experience in same or similar position
  • Ability to work  shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Must be fluent in English, written and spoken. PC literate including: MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel & Micros (advantageous)
  • Previous relevant upmarket restaurant / luxury/5* hotel outlet experience
  • Experience managing a staff compliment of approx. 10 – 20 staff
  • Experience in IR or Disciplinary practices ( HR)  
  • Ability to draw up SOP’s
  • Exceptional wine knowledge and in tune with industry trends
  • Strong planning & organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
  • 100% Customer focussed Strong guest relations
  • Proactive, innovative, flexible and energetic
  • Ability to lead others and to  do on the job F&B training
  • Attention to detail, ability to deal with high stress situations
  • Solid administration & Financial acumen with skill in stock control
